Nuance Investments, LLC seeks a Senior Investment Analyst in Kansas City, MO to be responsible for conducting extensive research and performing detailed financial analysis.

The responsibilities include:

• Assume primary responsibility and coverage of companies within assigned GICS sectors & industries;

• Conduct research on the operations, competitive landscape and competitive positioning of individual companies under consideration for investment;

• Perform financial statement analysis on the financial statements of individual companies and identify and delineate potential investment risks;

• Complete comprehensive valuation studies for individual companies;

• Present individual company analysis to the firm CIO and Portfolio Managers to assist in investment decision making;

• Maintain, update and regularly re-review the investment thesis for individual companies within the assigned coverage;

• Continue to grow expertise in the dynamics and competitive landscape of target companies’ industry & sector;

• Conduct other projects as assigned by the Investment Team and your manager;

• Perform all investment analysis listed above for both domestic U.S. and international companies; and

• Conduct detailed analysis of the unique investment considerations of international companies, including macroeconomic outlook, competitive position, currency and more, and present such analysis to the company CIO and Portfolio Managers to assist in investment decision making for international public companies.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or a foreign equivalent degree. We also require three years of experience in financial analysis and trading in international equity markets. The experience must include using portfolio accounting systems, CRM systems, running queries against databases and financial modeling. In the alternative, we accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five years of the aforementioned experience. We require Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification.
